Driver testimonial about the Mirror Eye tractors we are currently piloting from VIP Jason D:

Hey there, I'm excited to share my thoughts on the Mirror Eye system – a new technology that we've recently installed on some of our Veriha tractors. As a truck driver, I'm always on the lookout for ways to improve my driving experience, and the Mirror Eye system has definitely delivered.

Using cameras and screens to replace traditional rear-facing side mirrors on the tractor, the Mirror Eye system is designed to enhance fuel economy, reduce blind spots, increase visibility, and minimize the number of items that can be damaged during a collision. I was eager to test out the system for myself and promised to share my assessment after a few days of use.

During my experience with the Mirror Eye system, I was blown away by its performance. The camera lenses remained perfectly clean despite driving in cruddy weather conditions with snow and sloppy roads. Plus, the ability to customize the brightness and other settings on the screens made it comfortable to use during daylight and nighttime driving.

The system has a cool feature that I particularly love – it follows my trailer tandems around a corner, meaning the camera pans out during a right turn and keeps them in plain view during the entire turn. This feature has the potential to virtually eliminate collisions with objects during turns, which is a massive plus for me.

Admittedly, the off-road operation will take some time and practice to get used to. I struggled a bit with depth perception, but the feature where I can create lines on the screens to show where the rear of my trailer is proved helpful. Backing under a trailer during coupling made me a little nervous, but with practice, I'm confident I'll improve.

One thing that stood out to me was the camera view showing my tractor's front passenger side. I can literally see my front bumper and steer tire, which will be awesome when backing in close quarters where many of our tractors end up with some rash on the hood from K rails, poles, or trailers when backing.

Overall, I'd give the Mirror Eye system an A+ for on-road experience and a B- for off-road, but I'm confident that with practice, that score will improve. If you get the chance to sit in one of these tractors, I highly recommend giving it a try. The Mirror Eye system has definitely made my driving experience safer and more comfortable.

Thank you, Jason, for providing us with your expert opinion-we really appreciate it!
