These positions are critical to the success of our transportation operations, fleet revenue generation, profitability and financial strength.  These are fast paced positions that allows you to use independent problem resolution and decision making skills on a daily basis.

Logistics Agent
The Logistics Agent operates in direct support of brokerage operations  to service qualified Veriha Trucking accounts and Quadway only customers. Primary role functions include: Plan and coordinate pick-up, transit, and delivery with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and drivers, manage multiple pick-ups and deliveries, report and resolve freight discrepancies in a timely manner, respond to customer concerns and queries professionally, ensure that all necessary freight paperwork is completed and approved before transportation, maintain a positive and productive relationship with our staff, customers, carriers, shippers, and receivers, and conduct frontline communication with Veriha Trucking customer service and load planning associates, and Accounts Payable management.

 ·Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to make quick decisions in support of customer, driver and business demands. 
·Good financial acumen to understand financial implications of selling loads to qualified partner carriers.
·Demonstrate daily strong problem solving skills and high attention to detail in order to provide creative solutions to daily issues.
·Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and evaluate problems and situations and draw logical conclusions and implement practical solutions.
·Effectively handle, plan and coordinate carriers from different markets.
·Utilize effective one-on-one communication skills necessary to disseminate information quickly and accurately between internal and external customers as well as provide assistance to other team members.
·Proficient computer skills; data accuracy and the willingness to learn new software programs are a must.

Help Desk Administrator

The Help Desk Administrator has overall accountabilities for administering the help desk functions and ensuring service satisfaction. The Help Desk Administrator is responsible for the execution of the overall technology support strategy, including desktop services, timely support of office applications, PCs, electronic communications and audio communications.  The Administrator will diagnose and resolve software related issues, manage software upgrades/patches, new products and services and provide direct assistance to end users.  Additional responsibilities include providing a secure and stable desktop environment for corporate, remote, and mobile users. 

  • Provide desktop, laptop, application, and peripheral support to employees in multiple locations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, copiers, scanners, etc.
  • Install, configure, and maintain networks, network cabling, routers (Netgear), switches (Netgear and HP ProCurve), Firewalls, and VPN access.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2008, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, WDS , as well as other server roles.
  • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise applications including Exchange 2010, GFI Managed Antivirus, and VMware ESXi environments.
  • Manage user accounts in AD.
  • Detect and remove viruses and malware threats.
  • Gather and log incoming support requests. Document status, resolution, and follow-up information into support tracking system.
  • Prioritize user requests and track through to resolution.
  • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to users.
  • Build, deliver, inventory, install, and complete configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software, and peripherals without supervision.
  • Procure IT equipment when requested by IT Manager.
  • Support continuous improvement throughout the department, improve the Help Desk services by identifying and reducing variations in the process that have a negative impact on the systems, users, and business.
  • Provide clear and written verbal support to end users.
  • Develop and maintain help desk process and procedures guides.
  • Maintain rotating on call coverage.
  • Demonstrate, support and ensure adherence to Company business philosophies, guidelines, safety programs, operational procedures and values.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suites Office 2010 and 2016.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems (7 and 10).
  • Working knowledge of networking to include cabling and connectivity.
  • Working knowledge of server roles and services as well as VMware and Exchange, backups and deduplication, malware removal software, and SPAM software.
  • Must be self-motivated, able and willing to work independently, and have the desire to take on new challenges.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which could include evenings and weekends in accordance with business needs and support of systems and/or end user needs.
  • Anticipate problems and act pro-actively to solve them. Initiate solutions and implement actions to alleviate issues and improve technology services.
  • Identify opportunities for technology enhancements and escalate recommendations to IT Manager.
  • Have effective time management skills and demonstrate the ability to multi-task without negatively impacting performance results.

Fleet Leader
Build positive relationships and actively coach a group of drivers while managing specific business key metrics. This includes achieving maximum fleet productivity and profitability by reaching weekly utilization goals and monitoring operating revenue and cost. Fleet Leaders are accountable for insuring safe standards of operation are practiced while meeting all customer pickup and delivery requirements. As a Fleet Leader, you are required to use an open, interactive coaching/mentoring approach to create driver success and retain our driving professionals. 

·Deliver key factor results for Utilization, Retention, Safety and Service.
·Excellent “one-on-one” communications skills necessary to disseminate information to drivers to develop a successful business relationship with drivers, customers, etc.
·Demonstrate well-developed listening skills.
·Responsible for effectively managing 40-50 drivers’ schedules.
·Manage key performance metrics and meet or exceed expectations for fleet utilization, MPG and safety.
·Ability to operate phone, fax, voicemail and satellite communications systems.
·Computer knowledge and data entry skills necessary to effectively complete job duties.
·Geographical knowledge required in order to determine Projected Time of Arrivals for deliveries.
·Ability to maintain composure and react professionally during periods of stress with somewhat limited information periodically.
·Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and evaluate problems and situations and draw logical conclusions and implement practical solutions.
·Demonstrate effective planning, organizing and multi-tasking skills.

This position requires an Associate’s Degree in Business/Logistics and at least 2 years with previous management training. General knowledge of the transportation industry and equipment is desirable.

Training and Safety Coach
The Training Coordinator is primarily responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring new and existing Class A CDL Truck Drivers on all job functions and proactively reducing overall occurrences of accidents, injuries, service failures, and driver turnover by identifying indicators of unsafe behavior and developing corrective plans to address areas of concern and improve performance. The Training Coordinator is expected to abide by and enforce the policies and procedures of those agencies overseeing the transportation industry and will be Veriha Trucking’s point of contact for matters related to FMCSA and DOT regulations. Other responsibilities include managing the Driver Trainer program, teaching and training Veriha Driving Academy students, monitoring safety probations, and performing regular audits to ensure compliance and optimal performance of company drivers.

·Monitor Moving Violations/Roadside Inspections and push to all Driver Coaches for action.
·Triage daily events (i.e. overweighs etc.)
·Conduct ride along observations with drivers as needed.
·Monitor Security Seal Management.
·Facilitate orientation, process new hire documentation and conduct classroom instruction, road tests and yard training for new drivers and Veriha Driving Academy Students.
·Ensure equipment is assigned to new drivers in ready condition and new drivers are equipped with safety devices, locks, and electronic tools to complete their job.
·Know and understand Veriha driver qualification standards, Department of Transportation Regulations,Federal and State Employment Laws. Execute daily practices that support those qualifications standards and regulations.
·Counsel drivers in e-logs to ensure accurate records are maintained in compliance with DOT regulations.
·Perform job specific training, as needed, with new and existing drivers and students based on areas of specialty and company goals.
·Coach on safety related issues, such as DriveCam events, logs, and remediation for minor accidents/incidents or other “red flag” driving events.
·Provide regular follow-up with new drivers following 2 weeks, 6 weeks and 90 days of employment.
·Complete periodic road test evaluations for new and returning drivers.
·Conduct driver training for enhanced processes, systems and new equipment.
·Identify training needs and assign training modules to drivers. Audit training records and follow-up with drivers that have not completed the assigned training.
·Perform periodic tractor, trailer and cargo inspections to ensure housekeeping measures, preventative maintenance schedules and cargo securement means meet company standards.
·Monitor Motor Vehicle Inspection Reports, CSA Violations, Worker’s Compensation activity, and other indicators of high risk behaviors and develop personal improvement plans with individual drivers to change unsafe behaviors to reduce or eliminate preventable safety infractions, including but not limited to accidents, injuries and citations etc.
·Proactively identify drivers with poor fuel mileage and high idle time to perform remedial training to maximize fuel optimization and improve overall performance.
·Audit elogs to ensure compliance with Hours of Service regulations.
·Coordinate the Driver Trainer program by identifying, developing and coaching driver trainers. Effectively match trainers and trainees.
·Recommend appropriate disciplinary measures for safety infractions and monitor performance of drivers placed on safety probation.
·Review long form physicals and medical cards for accuracy; coordinate with appropriate personnel to discuss proper procedures for those drivers who fail to meet company hiring standards.
·Document completed training and recommendations for remedial training, if applicable, in internal company software system.
·Provide training to office staff in regards to FMCSA and DOT regulations, specifically Hours of Service, as they pertain to other functions of the company; remain a valuable resource on safety topics to all personnel.
·Review and evaluate the training program and communicate recommendations in process and content.
·Coordinate and maintain the inventory of training department items for safety and operation.
·Maintain filing system to ensure confidentiality and security of driver qualification, medical and safety related information.
·Develop and maintain desk procedures.
·Participate in staff professional trainings and self- assessments as requested.
·Completed other duties as needed in support of Company’s safety goals.
·Demonstrate, support and ensure adherence to Company business philosophies, guidelines, safety programs,
operational procedures and values.
·Sell Veriha Trucking by being a positive “first contact” and company advocate by accurately and professionally expressing the opportunities and benefits of driving for Veriha Trucking.
·Help maintenance to schedule work and repairs on equipment as needed.
·Communicate safety or maintenance issues to the safety department and assist with keeping CSA BASIC scores in the low and manageable range.
·Assist with equipment recovery.
·Inform drivers about company initiatives, policies, and any other updates/issues.
·Assist with login process for Infinit-I and Compli to keep the Milton, PA drivers current on requirements for both platforms.
·Conduct road tests in the field for recruiting and streamline the on-boarding process.
·Assist with answering regulatory questions.
·Assist with company O, S, and D policy and storage of rejected goods.
·Monitor TPI for inspection data and address any CSA concerns with drivers.
·Execute and Administer warning/probation letters as needed for drivers.
·Coach and mentor as needed on company metrics such DriveCam and M.P.G.
·Rotational on-call support for accidents and safety incidents including nights and weekends.

Operations Support Associate
The Operations Support Associate is responsible for assisting the Driver Management Team with day-to-day functions that support our fleet of driving professionals and meet Company goals for delivering safe, quality service to our customers. You will interact with Drivers, Driver Managers, Customer Service Representatives, Load Planners and Safety personnel to ensure accurate, timely completion of tasks and communication of information. Using a variety of technology tools you will track and monitor driver progress on loads and key operating metrics; respond to inquiries both verbal and written using mobile communication systems. You will be expected to multi-task and produce high quality results in a fast paced environment.

·This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
·Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft and Windows based products), data accuracy and the willingness to learn new software programs are a must.
·Effective communications skills, verbal and written, and the ability to disseminate information clearly to achieve desired results with drivers, customers, and all Veriha team members.
·Demonstrate well-developed listening skills.
·Use effective time management techniques and demonstrate the ability to multi task without negatively impacting performance or results.   Must be able to effectively work in a fast paced environment and produce high quality results.
