Maintenance Supervisor

John Veriha Trucking Inc. is currently searching for a safety conscious, forward thinking leader to fill the position of Maintenance Shop Supervisor. Responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and managing the equipment service operations of John Veriha Trucking, Inc. at the Marinette location as well as coordinating maintenance and repair of all company vehicles ensuring proper operation and availability for use at the Marinette Maintenance facility. Additional responsibilities will include overseeing shop utilization, mechanic performance, and parts coordination. 

 

 

The successful Candidates will possess:

  • A 2 year degree in the field of maintenance or diesel engine repair
  • At least 2 years demonstrated leadership experience or the equivalent of education and experience
  • A strong technical background in class 8 maintenance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Mechanic

A highly qualified individual is needed to join our team to be responsible for performing all basic tractor and trailer repairs. Our mechanics perform general diagnostic work on tractors and trailers utilizing Standard Operating Procedures, complete technical repairs and replacement of components, while making best value decisions to determine if it should continue to operate.

 

Qualified Candidates will possess:

  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repair
  • Welding skills in non-standard situations and on varying materials
  • Provide own tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Trade school, mechanical course, or 1+ years tractor/trailer experience
  • CDL preferred

Driver Recruiter

JVT is currently seeking a professional to recruit CDL-A truck drivers. Responsibilities include contacting potential candidates to pre-screen and determine eligibility for employment and conducting interviews. Additional duties include running MVR and DAC reports to assist in the approval of hire and assisting the Safety Director with on-going projects. Computer as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
