DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 23 years of age
- Must have Class A CDL
- Cannot have more than 3 moving violations in last 36 months
- Cannot have more than 1 major/serious violation/accident in last 3 years
- Must have at least 1 year OTR experience
- Must live in hiring area - See map on previous page
- No DUI or reckless driving charges in the last 5 years
- No speeding tickets of 20 mph or over in the last 3 years
- Must be able to pull 5th wheel pin with an average of 200 pounds force
- Must be able to pull yourself into a tractor at 60% of your body weight
- Must be able to lift/move up to a maximum of 70 pounds

If you're a recent graduate of a truck driving school or have less than the required 1 year OTR experience, give us a call, we now have options available through our "Driver Finishing Program".

Founded in 1978 and incorporated in 1984, John Veriha Trucking, Inc. continues to grow. In the beginning, we consisted of 20 tractors and 45 trailers. Since that time, our family owned and operated business has grown to more then 250 tractors, 700 trailers, and multiple locations. We are capable of servicing all of the lower 48 states and Canada, but our primary service area is east of the Mississippi River.
Over the years, our business has expanded to include dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds. However, our commitment to our employee's and customer's satisfaction has not ceased. You'll complete a DOT Drug Screen, DOT physical, road test, and pre-work screen to be sure you can safely perform the job functions. We also stay ahead of the latest technologies and provide training on each peice of equipment that we use. The most prevailant piece of technology is our mobile communication system.
